JAKARTA - Commenting on the poor result shown by Indonesian team at Indonesia Open 2014, legendary Indonesian men's doubles Ricky Subagja/Rexy Mainaky who are currently members of the (PBSI) stated that mental factor, apart from technical and physical factors, are important areas to improve.

They both agree on the issues as they once played together on the court and they were admired and feared by their opponents. On another "court" this time, they also agree on the issues even each of them was interviewed in a different time and place.

"Mentality and fighting spirit are the first and most important areas to improve, we know, during matches, every player want to win, therefore the fighting spirit should also be shown," Ricky said.

The PBSI board, Ricky added, will evaluate all the results in which he happens to be the manager. "We will evaluate every aspect, and for the players, mental factor is the most crucial," he said.

Interviewed separately, Rexy Mainaky expressed the same opinion with Ricky Subagja, he also considers the mental factor and player's morale during matches have been poor lately. "Yes, mentality and fighting spirit need to be addressed, but talking to a psychologist is not enough. A player must also have self-determination to win and to be a championship," said Rexy.
