When fortune is not on Simon Santoso's side, Indonesia doesn't have any envoys in men's singles at BCA Indonesia Open Super Series Premier (BIOSSP) 2014. In the quarter final, Red and White team only has two of its envoys in men's doubles and one envoy in mixed doubles.

Simon Santoso has to bury his dream to defend his title at BIOSSP 2014 after becoming the champion in 2012. Simon was halted in the hands of Hu Yun (Hong Kong), 18-21, 21-13, 20-22 in a battle for quarter final, Thursday, (19/6).

"Hu played very efficiently and he was calm. The match was very tight, so he who had been more well prepared was the winner. I still have to learn to be more relax in last points, I was in a rush resulting many mistakes," Simon said.

Another defeat had to be taken by Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo in BIOSSP second round. Wisnu had to surrender from Denmark's Hans-Kristian Vittinghus, 21-16, 21-11 as it ended Indonesia's hope to send its envoy in men's singles.

Previously, Tommy Sugiarto, Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka and Sony Dwi Kuncoro had been halted in the first round. The result worsens Indonesia's women's singles which was also eliminated.

Meanwhile, entering BIOSSP 2014 quarter final, Indonesia can only send three pairs. They are Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir, Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan and Markis Kido/Markus Fernaldi Gideon.

However, Ahsah/Hendra and Kido/Markus to "kill each other" for a ticket to semifinal, Friday (20/6). Whoever wins, Red and White team assures one place in semifinal at Senayan stadium, Saturday (21/6).
