Indonesia's women's singles players are eliminated in the second round of BCA Indonesia Open Super Series Premier (BIOSSP) 2014. After Bellaetrix Manuputty, Maria Febe Kusumastuti, now it was Adrianti Firdasari's turn to follow.

Previously, Lindaweni Fanetri, Aprilia Yuswandari, Hera Desi and Hanna Ramadhini had been eliminated in battles for second round. The defeats of Indonesian badminton players in women's singles reflect their quality amidst world players.

Former national women's singles athlete, Yuni Kartika said that drawing itself is tough and challenging. But that doesn't the only one to take the blame of our defeats.

"That's the fact. The competition in women's singles is indeed tight. The world's players have similar abilities, so we must be ready whoever our opponent is," said Yuni.

"I think they have done the best, especially Bella. Unfortunately, she still is shadowed by her injury," she stated.

Mentally, Yuni thinks the players have been improved after Uber Cup in India not long ago. However, there are things that need to be improved.

"Not only their mentality but also their way of playing needs to be improved. They are often late to change strategy and are slow to read how their opponents play," she said. She also stated that psychologists and coaches are essential parts of this.

Meanwhile, Bella admits that the strategy used was right. She tried to play defensively when she faced Thailand's Busanan Ongbumrungpan 21-15, 14-21, 9-21, Wednesday (18/9).

"In the beginning of the third set, her left angle started to hurt. My hand cramped, so it was pretty hard to shoot," Bella said.

Bella explained that the pain occurred only when she was on the court. She also said that she was a bit tense taking on Ongbumrungpan.

"I am disappointed for sure, because my target is to be in round 8,and physically, I am more well prepared," she ended.
