Greysia Focuses on Women's Doubles

Greysia Polii scored two victories in a row at BCA Indonesia Open Super Series Premier (BIOSSP) 2014, Wednesday (18/6). Together with Nitya Krishinda Maheswari, she stunned Singapore's Fu Mingtian/Neo Yu Vanessa 21-11, 21-13 and in the morning she also scored a victory along with Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo in the first round of mixed doubles category.

Participating in two categories, Greysia surely has her own target. The 26 year old badminton player said she would focus in women's doubles with Nitya although she would also do her best with her other teammate, Kevin.

"I am focusing on women's doubles. But I want to perform all out in the two categories. I enjoy every match in the two categories." Greysia who will turn to 27 on 11th August, said.

When asked about her target at BIOSSP 2014, Greysia said she didn't want to think of semifinal or final. She just wanted to accomplish every match with the best result by winning them.

"I don't want to be careless, I will play offensively and aggressively. Anything is possible here, even though you are the world champion," Greysia commented on her upcoming match with China's pair, Ma Jin/Tang Yuanting in a battle for BIOSSP quarter final round, Thursday, (19/6).

Greysia said that she won some she lost some regarding her record with Ma Jin/ Yuanting. As for the chance, it is indeed wide open and it needs awareness to be able to win.

"I shall just enjoy the tomorrow's match. It's about self confidence, stay alert, the chance is 50:50," she said sharing her optimism. And when asked about the mighty supporters at Senayan stadium, Jakarta, Greysia admitted that it could be a motivation to perform well. In addition, her family is also coming to give support.
