China Dominates the Semifinal Round

JAKARTA - China's domination in badminton world seems to be unmatched by any countries even until today. At Indonesia Open Super Series 2014, China managed to send seven envoys in seven different categories who will fight for tickets to final round.

China's players who will play today in semifinal round, Saturday(21/06/2014), at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, are Wang Shixian and Li Xuerui, in women's singles. Wang Shixian will take on Ratchanok Intanon, while Li Xuerui will play against Nichaon Jindapon.

The world's number two player in men's singles, Chen Long, becomes China's only envoy in men's singles' semifinal. Chen Long will take on Denmark's flamboyant player, Jan O Jorgensen. Chen Long -  Jorgensen match is predicted to be one of the most attractive matches.

Fu Haifeng/Zhang Nan, becomes the only China's men's doubles pair in semifinal where they will face South Korea's Lee Yong Dae/Yoo Yeon Seong. Zhang Nan who are also playing mixed doubles at the tournament with Zhao Yunlei who is actually a potential contender in mixed doubles, but they were finally halted by Kevin Sanjaya Sukamulyo/Greysia Polii in the first round.

In women's doubles, two China's pairs, Tian Qing/Zhao Yunlei, Ma Jin/Tang Yuanting are qualified and will take on South Korea's women's singles pair, Jung Kyung Eun/Kim Ha Na  and Jang Ye Na/So Young Kim.

Lastly, in mixed doubles, China sends Xu Chen/Ma Jin. The pair will take on the home team's top seeded to win a title, Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir.
