To Final Round, Ahsan/Hendra Restores the Hope for Trophy

JAKARTA - The top seeded Indonesian men's doubles, Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan, successfully goes to the ultimate round of Indonesia Open Super Series Premier 2014 after a fierce battle against South Korean's Kim Ki Jung/Kim Sa Rang in a 53 minute rubber game 17-21, 21-13, 21-10.

Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan made the supporters flooded all the areas of Senayan stadium, Jakarta, and badminton lovers around the country watching on television worried after only scoring 17 points compared t0 21 in the first set.

Although the battle for points was fierce in the first game, the world's champion pair seemed hard to get out from the Korea's players bombardment with powerful and steep smashes dominating the opening game.

Entering the second game, Ahsan/Hendra supported by the rumble from their fans at the stadium managed to steal the rhythm. Their opponent's net blunders gave Ahsan/Hendra easy points. The fortune now was on Ahsan/Hendra's side. A relatively easy win, 21-13, finally forced the match to a knock out round.

Applying similar tactics and strategies in the second set, Ahsan/Hendra tried to bring back their dreams and surely the hope of Indonesian supporters in the third set. Simultaneous deadly attacks were aimed at their Korean opponents during the battle for points. As a result, the Korea's pair was only given 10 points when Ahsan/Hendra ended the game and won with 21.

Indonesian crowds were chanting for Ahsan/Hendra's victory. The hope to win the trophy is relived through a persistent battle at the prestigious tournament worth 750,000 us dollars held at home.
