Jakarta | The second seeded player from China, Shi Yuqi was forced to work hard during the three-set match against the Indian player, Prannoy H. S in the first round of Blibli Indonesia Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 1000. After facing a 77-Minute long fierce battle, Shi Yuqi finally grabbed the victory with the score of 19-21, 21-18 and 22-20 in the match that was held in Istora Senayan, Jakarta on Wednesday (17/7).

Although playing three-set with a long duration, Shi Yuqi claimed to be very happy as he is still alive in the tournament that will reward the winners to a total prize of USD 1.250.000. In the Round of 16 of Blbli Indonesia Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 1000, Shi Yuqi will play against the Danish Men’s Single player, Anders Antonsen who beat the Thai player, Sitthikom Thammasin with the score of 21-16 and 21-15.

“For the next match, I want to be more focused. All players are equal, there is no tough opponent. The toughest opponent for me is the supporters in Istora. I have to be more spirited than them,” said Shi Yuqi.
